They have greatly improved their notation features in 4.5, as have Digidiesign in the new Pro Tools 8. Had I known five years ago that the notation features in Sonar were so unusable as they are and that CW gives this issue the lowest possible priority year after year, I would probably have chosen Steinberg. I, for one, am one of those who obviously chose 'wrong' sequencer. But if CW wants to get new customers, and especially if they want to take customers from Cubase, Logic, Pro Tools and Amplitude, they should address a survey to a broader group. Many - if not most - of those who have chosen Sonar don't care about notation. Surveys addressed to present customers are by definition likely to confirm status quo. I'm a Sibelius user and it seems very appealing. I watched a video and it seems like it is a light version of Sibelius incorporated into Pro Tools. You can even export sessions as Sibelius (.sib) files for further finessing in Sibelius. Print out a score in its entirety or print only certain instrumental parts.
